People (HR) Operations Manager Germany (all genders)

We are seeking a People Operations Manager to join our People Operations team in Germany. In this role, you will play a key part in the People Operations function, managing day-to-day HR activities and ensuring the smooth execution of processes across a range of People-related tasks. This is a hands-on position where you'll directly support employees with HR-related matters, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our team.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Contract Conductor: Manage all contractual processes, such as drafting employment contracts, overseeing onboarding and offboarding, handling contract changes, and ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping. You’ll keep everything organized and compliant!
  • Employee Support Champion: Be the friendly first point of contact for our Tonies team members with operational questions and requests. You’ll provide timely and accurate assistance to help them navigate their HR-related needs.
  • Data Guardian: Maintain and update employee data in our HR Information System (Personio) and our Org Charts. You’ll help ensure data accuracy and integrity while supporting the development of automated workflows to make processes smoother.
  • Benefits Maestro: Collaborate with our Payroll Manager to oversee employee benefits.
  • External Communicator: Ensure timely and accurate communication with external partners, like social security agencies and health insurance providers, to keep us compliant and informed.
  • Apprenticeship Ally: Help coordinate our apprenticeship program. This includes supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training, and being the go-to person for apprentices and everyone involved.
  • Process Innovator: Identify opportunities to optimize our internal processes and contribute to continuous improvement and automation.
  • Culture Catalyst: Organize wellbeing initiatives and company events to foster a positive company culture. Be also the Culture Champion in our team by taking ownership of organizing social afternoons, Christmas get-togethers etc.
What we are looking for:
  • You’ve got great knowledge as well as a couple of years of hands-on experience in all operational HR processes.
  • Strong experience with Personio is essential, and if you have experience as a Personio administrator, including creating and modifying workflows within the platform, that would be ideal for us!
  • You know your stuff when it comes to German labor laws
  • Attention to detail? You thrive on it! You ensure everything is accurate and compliant.
  • You love solving problems and can handle employee queries with practical solutions.
  • You’re super organized and can juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat.
  • You genuinely care about providing excellent support and enhancing the employee experience.
  • Fluency in German and  strong English skills 
  • And last, but certainly not least: You always handle personal data and information with confidentiality and integrity.
