You as part of tonies:

Are you passionate about design, curious about how great products are made, and excited to bring your ideas to life – from early sketches to physical prototypes? We’re looking for a working student to join our cross-functional team in Düsseldorf and support the development of new interactive experiences for children.

As a Working Student in Visual Design & UX, you’ll be part of a fun, fast-moving environment where creativity meets hands-on problem-solving. You’ll gain deep insights into product development and work across a variety of exciting projects.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

Supporting the development of product prototypes with visual assets (UX/UI, graphic design)
Crafting of physical prototype materials (3D printing, cardboard) in our Düsseldorf Office
Contribute to the creation of compelling marketing and communication material
Support of user testings to gather valuable first-hand feedback for improvements
Exploratory testing of prototypes for bugs and usability issues
Participate in brainstorming and ideation of new product ideas

What we are looking for:

You are enrolled in a degree program such as Product Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a similar field and you are in the middle of your Bachelor's or the beginning of your Master's program.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, ability to efficiently create high-quality art assets, enabling fast iteration cycles.
Advanced understanding of UX design principles to deliver intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Curious, proactive, and hands-on – you enjoy working creatively with both digital and physical materials
You’ll need strong English skills for effective communication within the team. If you also speak German – that’s a great plus!
It’s easy for you to make it to the Düsseldorf office twice a week.
Basic knowledge in general programming concepts to facilitate effective collaboration with developers would be nice to have.
