You as part of tonies:

As Head of COO Office (all genders), you will act as a strategic partner, advisor, and execution driver across our global operations function. In this pivotal role, you will ensure alignment, coordination, and operational excellence across the global Operations organization - including global quality, e2e supply chain, product industrialization, global production, procurement & supply network coordination, and order fulfillment.

You will serve as a trusted thought partner, connecting strategy to execution and enabling our COO to focus on the most critical priorities while ensuring the operational backbone of our business runs with precision, agility, and compliance.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
Strategic Alignment & Execution
  • Support the COO in setting and executing the global operations strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear initiatives and drive accountability across global teams.
  • Serve as a thought partner, challenging ideas, identifying risks, and ensuring fact-based decision-making.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as the COO’s right hand in managing cross-functional initiatives that cut across operations and the CRO as well as CXO organization
  • Foster collaboration across quality, supply chain, production, procurement, fulfillment, and IT.
  • Support strategic supplier and partner engagements, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Digitalization & Technology Enablement
  • Drive the digital transformation of operations through analytics, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Promote Industry 4.0 practices and partner with IT/Data teams to enhance efficiency and resilience.
  • Partner with IT and Data teams to deploy predictive analytics, digital twins, and GenAI use cases to improve decision-making, risk management, and customer experience.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Enable data-driven decision-making through dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
  • Manage COO goal-setting, reviews, and board or investor reporting processes.
Project & Change Management
  • Lead strategic cross-functional and transformation projects within the COO scope.
  • Oversee prioritization, resourcing, and change management to ensure successful delivery.
Leadership & Team Effectiveness
  • Support the COO in managing the global operations leadership team.
  • Strengthen governance frameworks, mentor key talents, and drive communication and engagement within the COO organization.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador, reinforcing Tonies’ values of quality, safety, and customer-centricity.
What we are looking for:
  • Candidates must be currently based in Germany, ideally in Düsseldorf.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with exposure to operations, supply chain, consulting, or strategy roles within the toy, consumer electronics, or broader consumer goods industries.
  • Strong track record in program management, cross-functional coordination, and executive-level advisory roles.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into actionable plans.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—capable of influencing at all levels.
  • High proficiency in data analysis, business case development, and KPI tracking.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in international, multicultural environments with distributed teams.
  • Fluency in English (German highly desirable).
