You as part of tonies:

As our (Senior) Group Accounting Manager, you will be at the heart of our finance organization. You aren't just a number-cruncher; you are a vital link between our local entities and the global headquarters. You will act as a "sparring partner" for local finance teams, translating complex business events into accurate accounting entries while ensuring our financial reporting remains high-quality and compliant.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Execution of Consolidation & Financial Reporting: You will drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of the Group’s financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP (HGB).
  • External Reporting: You will contribute to high-quality external financial reporting, including the Statement of Cash Flows, Notes, and the Management Report.
  • Consolidation Operations: You will perform monthly consolidation entries and ensure accuracy in systems like Navision (and in the future, LucaNet), including specific IFRS adjustments like IFRS 16 (Leases).
  • Business Partnering: You will proactively partner with local accounting teams to support a unified application of group standards while providing "Actuals" data required for group-wide planning and analysis to the FP&A team.
  • Audit & Compliance: You will act as a (senior) contact for external auditors, managing day-to-day audit requests and data delivery to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Continuous Improvement: You will optimize consolidation workflows and ERP functions to match our rapid growth, contributing to special projects like the setup of LucaNet or other closing tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will collaborate closely with the Global Tax Department and the ESG Department to integrate non-financial reporting into the Group’s framework.
What we are looking for:
  • Education: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or similar is a major plus.
  • Experience: You bring a minimum of 3 - 5 (Senior: 6- 8) years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on consolidation within a multinational environment or a "Big 4" audit firm. Experience in a stock-listed company is a plus.
  • Consolidation Expertise: You have a proven track record in complex consolidation routines and the use of modern consolidation software, preferably LucaNet.
  • Mindset: You are comfortable with evolving structures and eager to help define processes where they do not yet exist. You have the ability to look beyond the balance sheet to understand the commercial "why" behind the numbers.
  • Communication Skills: You possess an exceptional ability to communicate financial requirements clearly to diverse stakeholders in a fast-moving, international environment.
  • Languages: Fluency in both English and German is required for this role.
Why tonies?
  • Global Teamwork: We collaborate across departmental and country borders on our vision to bring the Toniebox into every child's room in the world.
  • Come as you are: This applies not only to the dress code but also to everything else. Because only where you truly feel comfortable can you give your best.
  • Mobility: Choose the option that suits you best - a Deutschlandticket (public transport ticket) for unlimited mobility, a monthly contribution for an office parking space, a leasing bicycle, or a remote work subsidy.
  • Enhanced SecurityBenefit from subsidies for company pension plans, occupational pension schemes, and occupational disability insurance.
  • Rest & Time Off: Enjoy 30 days of paid annual leave as well as three additional days off such as Rosenmontag, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. After one year of employment, you can also use up to 10 "toniecation days" (unpaid leave days).
  • Continuous Learning: Benefit from our internal and external training opportunities as well as an individual learning budget to continuously expand your knowledge.
  • Language Learning & Relaxation: Improve your communication skills with the language learning app Babbel and find relaxation through our access to the meditation app Calm.
  • Discounts: Benefit from attractive discounts on our entire range of tonies products.
