In this role, the FP&A Analyst will play a central part in driving the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights through robust financial modeling and collaborative reporting. By partnering with cross-functional department heads and providing deep-dive analysis on pricing and margins, the FP&A Analyst supports strategic decision-making and ensures the company meets its long-term financial objectives.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Performance Reporting: Create and maintain monthly, quarterly and yearly financial and reporting presentations for senior management.

  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in developing financial forecasting models and creating annual budgets.

  • Monthly Close Process: Partner with all department heads to review actual versus budget performance, track and report KPIs by analyzing the results and providing recommendations.

  • Pricing & Margin Analysis: Analyze pricing strategies to optimize sales and profit margins.

  • Develop ad-hoc reports and projects as needed

What we are looking for:

This position requires a strong background in financial planning and analysis with a specific focus on consumer goods or wholesale distribution. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of retail math, inventory flow, and the complexities of selling to major retailers.


  • 4+ years’ experience in finance role, retail or toy industry preferred

  • Retail/Toy Expertise: Understanding of margin analysis including Gross-to-Net calculations (allowances, rebates, and freight-out).

  • Pricing & Margin Analysis

  • Must be flexible, open to new direction and willing to receive feedback

  • Expert proficiency in Excel (VBA/Power Query preferred) and PowerPoint for executive-level financial presentations.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) for data visualization.

  • Analytical, critical thinking skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills

  • Willing to collaborate with others and promote a positive work environment
